Team / Application Overview

• The group is TMS – Transaction Management Services.

• They support a real-time Java application responsible for:

• Money transfers

• ACH processing

• Account balance updates

• This is a critical core banking platform.

• If the application goes down, a Bridge is opened immediately.

Technology Stack

• Built in Java.

• Runs on:

• Mainframe (z/OS)

• zLinux

• Linux

• Application stack includes:

• IBM WebSphere Application Server

• Tomcat libraries

• GitHub (manual processes, not yet cloud-based)

• Messaging & infrastructure:

• IBM MQ Series

• Kafka

• Kubernetes

Cloud & Modernization Efforts

• The platform is not yet on the cloud; several processes remain manual.

• Long-term plan is to migrate to the cloud, and they want talent who can grow with the team through that migration.

• Preference for candidates with:

• Non-mainframe experience

• Modern CI/CD pipeline exposure

• Enthusiasm for AI adoption and leveraging AI to improve workflows.
