Job Title: CAD/Mechanical Designer/Drafter: IV
Duration: 12 months
Location: San Diego CA 92123
Job description:
- Focus on natural gas piping and fitting programs
- Work involves 2D and 3D design drafting
Required Skills
- Autodesk Plant 3D (MUST HAVE)
- AutoCAD (MUST HAVE)
Preferred Skills
- Survey tools knowledge (plus)
- Familiarity with SoCal standards (plus)
Education Requirement
- No degree required
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid model: Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote
Level IV: 8 Years of Experience.
- Creates and updates sketches, working drawings and contract documents using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software.
- Prepares 2D and 3D models. Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications.
- Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology.
- Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints.
- Prepares documentation to support design drawings.
- Often requires experience with the specific design application in use by client base.
