What are the responsibilities and job description for the AWS Cloud Migration Engineer position at Mindlance?
We are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer with 7 years of professional experience and strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud Migration. The ideal candidate should have experience migrating on-premises/legacy applications and infrastructure to AWS, along with strong knowledge of EKS and Kubernetes and some exposure to AI/GenAI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute AWS cloud migration initiatives for on-premises and legacy applications.
- Support application, server, and data migrations to AWS with minimal downtime.
- Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ECS/EKS, and related migration services.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, application, and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with application, DevOps, and architecture teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Support CI/CD automation using tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
- Apply knowledge of AI/GenAI services and cloud-based AI solutions where applicable.
Required Skills
- Experienced AWS Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Migration, particularly on-premises/legacy systems to AWS.
- Strong experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking, security, and compute services.
- Experience with Terraform and/or CI/CD automation.
- Some practical exposure to AI/GenAI technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Nice to Have: AWS certifications, experience with AWS Migration Services (MGN/DMS), Docker, Terraform, and AWS AI/ML services.
