Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Neurofeedback Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting neurofeedback sessions, a cutting-edge brain-training technique aimed at enhancing cognitive function, reducing stress, and improving mental well-being. You will work closely with clients to set up and run neurofeedback sessions, monitor equipment, track progress, and ensure a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Session Setup & Monitoring:
- Prepare clients for neurofeedback sessions by applying sensors and ensuring equipment is properly calibrated.
- Monitor real-time feedback data to ensure correct protocols are being followed during sessions.
- Assist in maintaining a calm, relaxing atmosphere for clients throughout their sessions.
- Client Interaction & Care:
- Explain neurofeedback processes to clients and answer any questions before, during, and after their sessions.
- Guide clients through session protocols, providing ongoing support and encouragement.
- Track clients' progress, take notes, and report any significant changes to the supervising clinician.
- Data Collection & Reporting:
- Record and store session data accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Review session reports and prepare progress summaries for clinical staff and clients.
- Help analyze neurofeedback data and assist in adjusting protocols based on results.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Regularly check and maintain neurofeedback equipment, ensuring all systems are clean, functional, and up-to-date.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues during sessions and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Administrative Support:
- Schedule client appointments and manage client records, including intake forms and session documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Associate's degree or certification in a related field (Preferred).
- Experience or certification in neurofeedback, biofeedback, or EEG technology (Preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with health data management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a clinical setting.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in neurofeedback, biofeedback, or a similar therapeutic modality (Preferred).
- Background in mental health, psychology, or healthcare (Preferred).
Work Environment:
- Calm and professional clinical or wellness environment.
- Occasional exposure to clients who may be experiencing emotional or psychological distress.
- Ability to travel and work at other locations when needed.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule.
