Role Description
The Long Term Substitute Teacher will lead engaging and interactive yoga and mindfulness sessions for students in schools and childcare centers. Responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each group. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Portland, OR.
Qualifications
- Experience in Education, Teaching, and Training
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and developing a tailored curriculum
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to connect with students and staff
- Knowledge or experience in mindfulness practices and child development is a plus
- Capable of fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (preferred)
