Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Brownsville, TX. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups facing a variety of mental health concerns. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, engaging in therapy sessions, maintaining confidentiality, and documenting all interactions accurately and timely. The counselor will collaborate with other team members to provide holistic care and may participate in community outreach initiatives to further support clients and their families.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in counseling, therapy, and treatment planning, with experience working with diverse mental health issues.
- Proficiency in effective communication, active listening, and building therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in mental health care.
- Experience or interest in community outreach and promoting mental health awareness.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed by the Texas State Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); additional certifications are a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; strong commitment to orderliness and professionalism
