Sr. Full Stack Java Developer - ONSITE in CO!

Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support our federal client in advancing species management and conservation initiatives. This is not your typical narrow development role; this position is for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats. If you enjoy variety, like solving problems across the stack, and are comfortable working in a legacy application newly moved to the cloud, this could be the right fit for you.

This role can be based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, or Falls Church, Virginia. This is fully onsite from day one; we are unable to make exceptions. Salary is $120K - $135K and is based on each candidate s professional experience and skills. Candidates must be either US Citizens or US Permanent Residents due to government contract.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts with a Java-focused stack, while also working in front-end frameworks, scripting languages, and integration points.
• Jump in across the software lifecycle - development, DevOps, QA/test automation, and even data warehousing.
• Help modernize, optimize, and sustain a mission-critical federal system now operating in a cloud environment.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders, translating business needs into working, maintainable software solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues across environments, including Tier 2 support when needed.

Qualifications:

• US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to government contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 8 years of hands-on, professional experience with strong Java 8 development skills, plus exposure to modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with cloud (AWS, GCP), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Maven, Git).
• Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch) and data integration tools.
• Enjoys being a generalist with depth, i.e., you are comfortable moving between requirements, coding, automation, testing, and data tasks.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and solve problems in a collaborative environment.
