What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mid Level Software Developer position at Mindbank Consulting Group?
Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Software Developer (Mid).
Software Developer (Mid) Responsibilities:
· Provide technical direction for the development of a major web application using modern Java web technologies.
· Work with project and user management to define requirements, estimate time and costs, and prioritize features.
· Mentor and assist other team members as required.
· Provide technical expertise and contribute to all aspects of the design, development, testing, and support of Java web applications.
Software Developer (Mid) Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar degree with relevant technical experience.
· 3 - 5 years’ experience developing applications using Java 8 or higher.
· Knowledge of Java and web technologies including Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring Web, SQL database design and development, JPA and/or Hibernate, web services, HTML, and JavaScript.
· Experience with automated testing and web application deployment.
· Experience with user-focused design and mobile-friendly web applications.
· Experience developing websites that meet Section 508 (persons with disabilities) standards.
· Experience implementing security and privacy best practices for web applications.
· Experience with Federal Information System Security standards is preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Experience in developing and deploying applications in a Cloud-based environment.
· Knowledge or experience with AI developer tools is a plus.
