Position Summary:
The Parts / Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for receiving all incoming parts, materials, supplies, etc… This position will coordinate with both purchasing and accounting to ensure the accuracy of items received. In addition this position will be responsible for the stock/inventory and all project sorting. All logistics both incoming and outgoing will be handled by this position. Coordinator will work with trucking brokers and customers to ensure the proper method of shipment for the items / machinery. Logistics will include receiving items and shipping of items/machinery.
Essential Duties (not limited to):
- Receiving and shipping of parts and machinery.
- Maintain Parts Room in an orderly concept.
- Receiving items per purchase order to ensure accuracy of parts received.
- Creating Bills of Lading and logistics for outgoing shipments both LTL and full loads.
- Coordinating machinery shipments with customers.
- Coordinate with fabrication shop foreman and fabricators throughout the production process for all parts related concerns.
- Collaborate with a diverse team on a variety of engineering/manufacturing tasks.
- Assisting the lead purchasing agent in ordering parts for projects.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Adhere to all company policy and procedures, including safety protocol.
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- High mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- ERP Database Knowledge
- Excellent computer skills.
- Knowledge of structural steel construction and mechanical parts.
- Background with parts management and logistics is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work with multiple projects.
- Decision making ability and leadership skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazard or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated.
Job includes tasks that require sitting, walking, standing, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.
