Job Overview
The Employment Coach / Instructional Designer supports our mission to expand meaningful, inclusive employment opportunities for autistic individuals who are capable of working independently with appropriate supports. This role blends innovative instructional design with hands-on coaching to create transformative, community-based employment pathways.
In this position, you will design and deliver job-readiness training, develop engaging instructional materials, and provide individualized coaching that empowers candidates to build skills, confidence, and independence in the workforce. Working collaboratively with candidates, nonprofit partners, and employer partners, you will help remove systemic barriers to employment while honoring each individual's strengths, preferences, and dignity.

Duties
- Design engaging, accessible training curricula and instructional materials tailored to diverse learner needs, specifically those with autism
- Deliver personalized coaching sessions that motivate participants, build confidence, and develop job readiness skills
- Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and support staff to identify employment opportunities and facilitate successful placements
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants' skills, interests, and barriers to employment through interviewing and social work techniques
- Participate in recruitment efforts by engaging potential candidates and promoting available training programs across various platforms
- Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback collection and continuous improvement of instructional content
- Collaborate with participants to create resumes, employment profiles, and professional materials that highlight strengths and skills
- Translate participant abilities and preferences into clear, respectful, employer-facing documentation
Experience
- Proven experience in workforce development or employment coaching with a focus on individuals with autism
- Strong background in instructional design, curriculum development, or teaching within social work or related fields
- Experience in interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and delivering training & development programs
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations by understanding individual needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging participants, employers, and community partners in a lively and motivating manner

Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
