Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, and educational sessions
- Support classroom routines and activities aligned with early childhood education principles
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following proper safety protocols
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
- Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to implement lesson plans and developmental goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance when necessary
- Uphold all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when required
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for nurturing children's growth and fostering a positive learning environment
