We are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As the Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing psychiatric assessments and treatment, prescription and management of medications, and patient education, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards for our Adolescent/Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and follow up assessment of adolescents and adults enrolled in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to determine diagnosis, treatment needs, and appropriate level of care.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and follow up assessment of adolescents and adults enrolled in the Medication Management program.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications according to established protocols, monitoring for efficacy, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Provide medication education and counseling to patients and their families, addressing questions, concerns, and promoting medication adherence.
- Monitor patients' progress throughout the treatment process, conducting regular follow-up appointments to assess symptomatology, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support.
- Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring continuity of services and effective communication.
- Document all clinical encounters, assessments, treatment plans, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic medical records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines set forth by licensing boards and regulatory agencies, promoting a culture of integrity, respect, and quality care delivery.
- Foster a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, empowerment, and resilience among patients, families, and staff members.
- Serve as a resource and consultant to other healthcare professionals, providing clinical guidance, education, and support as needed.

Requirements:
- Possession of a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an advanced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in utilizing the DSM-V for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and efficiently document all clinical sessions in a timely manner.
- Comprehensive understanding of medication management protocols and procedures.
- Familiarity with available community resources and programs designed to support and assist clients in need.
