Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast
- OpenTable, ensuring clarity and precision
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating cocktail and beverage service expertise
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while handling cash handling responsibilities with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly
- Manage guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is required; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Experience with sales techniques including upselling to maximize revenue opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on building positive guest relations in the hospitality industry
