As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
- Interact with pet owners, providing updates on their pets and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist in administering medications as directed by staff.
- Perform heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies as necessary.
Skills
- Experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong animal handling skills, with an emphasis on dog handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal care practices and kennel operations.
- Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
