Bioproduction Scientist (US)

MIMETAS disrupts 21st-century drug development by bringing organ-on-a-chip-based human disease models to the core of drug research. Your tasks will include

• Establishing and maintaining a US bioproduction site for our OrganoReady® product line;

• Just-in-time production of the OrganoReady® cell based products and accessory materials;

• Coordination of orders and shipments to customers;

• Managing supply chain of reagents and cell banks and other related activities;

• Organoid and other cell culture;

• Designing and performing cell culture experiments with a focus on the technical aspects and troubleshooting;

• Analysis and reporting of results;

• Contributing to general lab duties.

Your profile

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar with 1 to 5 years of experience in an industry setting;

• You have experience with mammalian cell culture and sterile techniques;

• You have experience with experimental design and statistical analysis;

• You have a strong interest in the technical side of scientific and biological questions;

• You have affinity with Quality or Reliability Engineering such as Statistical Process Control;

• You have affinity with lab automation and computer programming;

• You are analytical, detail-oriented and well-organized;

• You are able to work independently;

• You are able to communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues both in person and online;

• You are a self-starter with a motivated, flexible and positive work attitude;

• You speak and write proficiently in English;

• Experience with the OrganoPlate® is a plus;

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus;

• Experience with organoids, iPSCs, or other advanced cell culture models is a plus;

• Experience with automated liquid handlers is a plus.
