MIMETAS is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our US team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In this position, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a new US-based production site for our ready-to-use 3D cell culture products, marketed in our OrganoReady® product line. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of scientists and commercial-facing roles that brings cutting-edge scientific products to researchers around the world.

Your tasks will include
Establishing and maintaining a US bioproduction site for our OrganoReady® product line;
Just-in-time production of the OrganoReady® cell based products and accessory materials;
Coordination of orders and shipments to customers;
Managing supply chain of reagents and cell banks and other related activities;
Organoid and other cell culture;
Designing and performing cell culture experiments with a focus on the technical aspects and troubleshooting;
Analysis and reporting of results;
Contributing to general lab duties.
Your profile
You have a BSc or MSc degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar with 1 to 5 years of experience in an industry setting;
You have experience with mammalian cell culture and sterile techniques;
You have experience with experimental design and statistical analysis;
You have a strong interest in the technical side of scientific and biological questions;
You have affinity with Quality or Reliability Engineering such as Statistical Process Control;
You have affinity with lab automation and computer programming;
You are analytical, detail-oriented and well-organized;
You are able to work independently;
You are able to communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues both in person and online;
You are a self-starter with a motivated, flexible and positive work attitude;
You speak and write proficiently in English;
Experience with the OrganoPlate® is a plus;
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus;
Experience with organoids, iPSCs, or other advanced cell culture models is a plus;
Experience with automated liquid handlers is a plus.
