What You’ll Do
As a Data Analyst at Mimecast, you’ll play a key role in collecting, interpreting, and presenting data across different business functions. Your work will help teams make data-driven decisions with clarity and confidence.
On a typical week, you’ll:
- Collect, clean, and validate datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Use tools like SQL, Excel, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to analyze trends and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs for business units such as product, marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Translate raw data into clear reports and visualizations that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvement.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support leadership decisions and ongoing projects.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a data enthusiast who enjoys problem-solving, storytelling with numbers, and delivering insights that matter. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and able to thrive in a remote, flexible work environment.
Key qualifications include:
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality practices, or experience within SaaS/cybersecurity industries is a plus (but not required).
