We are seeking a Build & Deployment Engineer to join our Minneapolis-based CI/CD team, the driving force behind our reliable, scalable, and secure internal engineering services. • Manage and improve the lifecycle of internal build and deployment services-from design, deployment, operation, and optimization, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams as a primary internal customer, resolving complex build and deployment issues, providing technical guidance, and supporting the rollout of new features, upgrades, and technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, with a focus on AWS resources, IAM, and secure, repeatable deployments.
• Develop, support, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and related tools, driving automation and best practices throughout the build and deployment process.
• Analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes, drive continuous improvement, and improve developer velocity and system reliability.
• Work extensively with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, enhancing scalability, governance, and compliance in deployment processes.
• Support Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Participate in disaster recovery testing, incident resolution, capacity planning, and operational maintenance to ensure high availability of internal build systems.
• Document solutions and share knowledge with the broader team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements and advocate for changes that improve reliability and team velocity.

• Experience in build engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Jenkins and other build automation tools.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and/or Go.
• Familiarity with .NET environments and Linux system administration.
• Experience with source control management (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) and version control best practices.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of deliverables.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical peers.

• Experience with additional CI/CD tools such as Concourse, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices deployment.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, including a strong grasp of AWS IAM and security best practices.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience supporting both SaaS and on-premises software solutions.
• Active contributions to open-source projects or engagement in the broader technology community.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
