Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to identify appropriate interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management services to individuals experiencing urgent mental health or social issues.
- Deliver addiction counseling and behavioral health support to clients facing substance use or mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that promote client empowerment and recovery.
- Facilitate motivational interviewing sessions to encourage positive behavioral change and goal setting.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Coordinate with child welfare agencies, Section 8 housing programs, Medicare services, and workforce development initiatives to connect clients with necessary resources.
- Assist clients in navigating complex systems such as child welfare, healthcare benefits, and housing assistance programs like Section 8.
- Support families with childcare guidance and mentoring to strengthen parenting skills and family stability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and service plans in compliance with organizational policies.
- Advocate for clients' rights while promoting community engagement and resource utilization.
Skills
- Strong expertise in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.
- Proficiency in addiction counseling methods and behavioral health practices.
- Knowledge of social work principles combined with experience in child welfare systems and housing programs such as Section 8.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients through motivational interviewing techniques.
- Supervising experience is preferred to guide team members effectively while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations involving mental health crises or behavioral challenges with professionalism and empathy.
- Familiarity with healthcare programs including Medicare and workforce development initiatives enhances service coordination.
