Summary:

Milwaukee Repertory Theater, is currently seeking applicants for part-time Servers! If you are responsible, efficient and a team player, this is the job for you! This position is available for immediate hiring. Interested applicants should apply promptly according to the directions below.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for capable restaurant Servers to take and deliver orders. The primary responsibility of the Server position is to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. You will be the main point of guest contact and responsible for our customer’s experiences. Additional Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. This position will require you to be quick on your feet, polite and welcoming. Other major duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintain a high quality of service when serving patrons throughout dinner service
• Thorough knowledge of food, wine and beverage menus
• Maintain and promote teamwork in and between all positions
• Assisting where and when needed
• Has the ability to suggest and upsell all menu items
• Maintain a high standard of sanitation through proper hand washing and personal hygiene
• Maintain a high level of guest service satisfaction through clearly communicating with all staff and departments, assessing time constraints, identifying and fixing issues
• Thoughtfully accommodate reasonable special requests with equal regard to all of our guests’ experience
• Works in earnest with regard to customer and employee satisfaction
• Ensure your duties are completed in a timely and thorough manner both before and after the show
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas
• Work as part of a team and uphold the standards of the organization at all times
• Ability to work well under pressure and as a team is a must

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• One year of casual, upscale or comparable experience in serving
• High school diploma (or GED)
• Positive, articulate, outgoing and welcoming personality
• Ability to work in an upbeat and often fast-paced environment
• Comfortable receiving feedback and taking direction
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of attention to detail under pressure
• Able to remain calm and efficient in a busy work environment, all while maintaining grace and good humor under pressure
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours at a time
• Must be available for weeknight and evening work
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws

Salary : $9 - $10
