Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Course Sand Trap Renovation Supervisor to lead and oversee the renovation and maintenance of sand traps on our golf course. This full-time position involves supervising a team of landscape maintenance workers, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining the aesthetic and functional standards of the course. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping, construction, and horticulture, along with leadership skills to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Lead and supervise sand trap renovation projects, including reshaping, raking, and replenishing sand levels to meet course specifications
- Coordinate with course management to plan renovation schedules that minimize disruption to play
- Oversee landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, tree care, gardening, and irrigation system management around the course
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Manage team assignments, monitor progress, and provide training or guidance as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain equipment used for landscaping, construction, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall course maintenance and improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or related construction fields
- Supervising experience in outdoor or golf course maintenance preferred
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, horticulture, irrigation systems, gardening, and tree care
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Familiarity with golf course standards and sand trap construction or renovation is a plus
- Ability to operate landscaping and construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods
- Relevant certifications or training in horticulture, landscape management, or related areas are advantageous
