Summary
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing engineering activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes for the manufacturing of electronic assemblies by performing the following duties either in person or by directing subordinates:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing engineering team.
- Provide technical support for production, maintenance, and sales, including NPI transitions.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for maximum efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (customers, production, quality) to launch new products and improve processes.
- Monitor production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee new equipment, automation, and technology integration.
- Manage manufacturing engineering budgets and resource allocation.
- Partner with suppliers to evaluate new materials, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Support facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Must be adaptive and supportive of change and possess good communication skills.
- The work performed in this job can only be done on site; therefore, attendance is an essential function of the job
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly manages the manufacturing engineering team and related maintenance functions.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee development.
- Ensures policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are followed.

Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 5 years of managerial experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable with data-driven process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
