We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Print Process Engineer to lead and optimize product customization processes across a range of printing technologies, including CMYK digital printing, DTF, pad printing, and related methods. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and seamless integration between design, production, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize printing and customization processes across multiple technologies (digital inkjet, DTF, pad printing, etc.)
Serve as the technical expert for print quality, color accuracy, adhesion, and durability across various substrates
Collaborate with product development, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure print feasibility and scalability
Calibrate and maintain printing equipment to achieve consistent color reproduction and registration
Troubleshoot print defects (banding, misregistration, color variance, adhesion issues) and implement corrective actions
Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for printing processes
Evaluate and qualify new materials, inks, coatings, and equipment
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, reduce waste, and improve throughput
Support production teams with training and technical guidance
Work with vendors and suppliers to source and validate new print technologies and consumables
Support compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Required Qualifications:
3 years of experience in print engineering, product decoration, or industrial customization processes
Hands-on experience with CMYK color processes and color management systems
Experience with digital inkjet and/or pad printing technologies
Strong understanding of substrates (plastics, metals, textiles, etc.) and ink/material interactions
Familiarity with color matching, ICC profiles, and spectrophotometry
Problem-solving mindset with strong root cause analysis skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with UV-curable inks, sublimation, or DTF
Knowledge of automation and inline inspection systems
Familiarity with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation
Lean Manufacturing experience
Experience scaling processes from prototyping to mass production
