Job Summary
This position will serve internal and external stakeholders by answering sports inquiries, maintaining sports databases, and assisting management with various projects, record keeping, purchasing and office maintenance. This position will be assigned to manage 3 offices and will also manage schedules for sport courts, fields, ice rink, and field houses.
Job Responsibilities
Assist internal and external stakeholders over the phone, in person, and via email with all inquiries.
Provide customer service as needed over the phone, in person, and via email about sports fields, events, and indoor recreation facilities.
Perform various data entry in excel and software utilized by Milwaukee County and Milwaukee County Parks.
Utilize scheduling system for different facilities and buildings.
Collect and record payments. Process credit card, cash, and check payments.
Assist Manager with office record keeping and filing system as well as the maintenance of databases.
Assist Manager with office maintenance, cleanliness, and office supplies stock.
Participate in special projects as assigned by manager.
Ability to properly operate: computers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, credit card machines, cash registers, and general office equipment.
Required Education, License/Certification and Experiences
Current residency within the State of Wisconsin upon application required
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required and must be maintained throughout incumbency
High School diploma or GED required
At least one (1) year or more work experience in Recreation, Office Management, Sports, Administration or Customer Service required.
Basic knowledge of sports including but not limited to pickleball, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, kickball, hockey, basketball, and volleyball.
