Position Summary
- Collaborate with the Strength and Conditioning staff to implement the strength and conditioning services to Milwaukee Bucks players. This includes training session design, coaching and supervision.
- Collaborate with the performance staff to design and implement strength and conditioning assessment protocols and training monitoring systems.
- Function as an effective multidisciplinary team member to provide high performance services to athletes and coaches.
- Local and international travel is required
Primary Duties:
The Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for running all of the primary duties listed below:
- In conjunction with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, design and supervise the strength and conditioning programs for Milwaukee Bucks players using approved software systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular fitness assessments and collect training monitoring data on players within the guidelines and scientific principles established by the department.
- Keep up to date electronic records of athlete testing and training monitoring data on the approved athlete data management platform.
- Play an active role in testing equipment calibration, maintenance and repair.
- Organize, schedule, and implement training times of players and on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
- Initiate regular direct and electronic communication on athlete progress to coaches and other service providers working with your team.
- Act as a mentor and a resource in strength and conditioning to other strength coaches and medical staff.
- Assist with department planning.
- Travel with the team and implement strength and conditioning programs and general high performance support at training camps and games.
- Occasionally travel to players in the off-season to design and supervise training programs
Qualifications:
- A consistent track record of outstanding communication skills with coaches, athletes, other staff and administrators.
- Degree in exercise and sport science with a specialty in strength and conditioning. Post graduate degree preferred.
- Other professional qualifications or certifications related to elite athlete conditioning or testing.
- At least 6 years of experience as a strength coach with Olympic/National Team level athletes.
- Computer competence in a variety of data analysis and sports science software programs.
- Practical experience in a wide range sport science testing protocols and the ability to work effectively as part of the High Performance Team.
- The senior strength and conditioning coach must exhibit strong leadership skills and have extensive experience and a consistent track record to relate to high level athletes in a professional team environment.

Working conditions:
Able to travel extensively through the NBA season.
Eligible to work legally in the United States.
