Computer Systems Analyst III: Simulation Technician- JLCCTC System Admin/Ops/Scenario Development
Description:
- Serve as shift lead responsible for junior systems analysts during shift work periods.
- Provide training units with a simulation environment utilizing Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Multi-Resolution Federation (MRF) and / or Entity Resolution Federation (ERF) hardware and software configured to the specifications provided by the Technical Support Team Manager.
- Interpret simulation plans to install and configure hardware and software in a TCP/IP network environment on systems running Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux operating systems.
- Responsible for facilitating and enforcing cross-training among junior TST members.
- Shall be proficient with current and future versions of simulation operating software and hardware fielded to the Mission Training Complex.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the configuration and operation of RedHat Enterprise Linux (versions 6 & above) workstation and server and Microsoft Windows (7 & higher) workstation and server operating systems in a TCP/IP network environment.
- Emphasis on Linux setup and operations.
- SECRET or higher security clearance.
- Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspense.
- Must be able to support shifts that occur outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Security certified at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the configuration and operation of JLCCTC MRF and ERF hardware & software.
- Certification in Linux OS such as ComTIA Linux , Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator or Redhat Certified Systems Administrator is a plus.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification in Windows 10 and/or Server 2012 is a plus.
