Milton Middle School is seeking a dynamic math teacher to be an integral part of an innovative team designed to meet the needs of middle school students. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to instill a growth mindset and a love of mathematics in middle and high school students. They will demonstrate knowledge in the areas of evidence-based high-impact mathematics acquisition strategies for all levels of adolescent and young adult learners, including numeracy, proportional reasoning, algebraic thinking, and problem-solving strategies. The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the connected nature of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application. The candidate will possess exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, be strongly committed to the success of all students, understand the value of collaboration, and be ready to collaborate with a team that includes other math teachers and team teachers.
Math teacher/Interventionist candidates are encouraged to have middle school experience and be knowledgeable in effective instruction and data-informed practices at the middle school level. The ideal candidate has working knowledge and experience with implementing Restorative Practices as components of classroom management. They are committed to working in a district striving to dismantle systemic barriers and are focused on improving student outcomes.
Salary of $53,266 - $85,423. Salary is based on degree and experience. With Full benefits offered.
