Junior Estimator / Preconstruction Coordinator

This role offers a unique mix of creative proposal development (Adobe InDesign) and technical estimating support, giving you hands-on experience in both the visual and analytical sides of preconstruction.
Responsibilities
- Develop professional proposal packages using Adobe InDesign (CMAR pursuits)
- Review and interpret construction drawings and project documents
- Coordinate with subcontractors to verify scope and ensure complete bid coverage
- Perform quantity takeoffs using iSqFt and similar tools
- Manage the invite-to-bid process and organize project documentation
- Build and analyze bid comparison spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
- Attend occasional jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships count)
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with subcontractors
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites as needed
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with Adobe InDesign or graphic layout/design
- Familiarity with iSqFt or construction bidding platforms

Compensation & Benefits
- $55,000 – $65,000 salary
