Guest Services Representative (Part-Time)

The Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) in Syracuse’s downtown Armory Square is a family-focused destination with 35,000 square feet of educational exhibits, attractions, and a theatre that bring more than 130,000 visitors in every year.
The guest services representative is the front-line contact person for guests visiting the museum, Science Shop, theatre, and inquiring about memberships. The top priority for this position is to make sure that all visitors have a positive and memorable experience at the MOST through consistent and thoughtful high-quality customer service.
The guest services representative will check in members and guests at the front desk using our point of sale system, assist with purchases in the museum’s Science Shop and concessions stand, sell memberships, usher theatre shows, respond to guest questions, answer phone calls, assist with birthday parties and events, and fill in wherever needed to ensure the museum runs smoothly

This is a part-time, in-person position working up to 21 hours a week. The shifts will be scheduled Wednesdays through Sundays (and occasional other days/hours when the museum is open during school breaks or events).
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
