What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drama Director position at Milton High School?
Milton seeks a Drama Director. The Director's primary job duties include, but are not limited to, directing, guiding, and supervising Milton's entry into the Vermont Drama Council's One-Act Theatre Festival. Along with students, choose a show to be presented at the One-Act Festival. Be or become familiar with Vermont Drama Council rules and guidelines. Be present to supervise employees, adult volunteers, and students during all aspects of production, including but not limited to acting, set design/construction, tech, and costume rehearsals. Establish, communicate, and attend all rehearsals and performances scheduled. Attend, supervise, and participate in home performances and all festivals for which the one-act show qualifies (may include but not limited to regionals, states, and New England. Please note that some festivals are overnight obligations. Maintain inventory and proper storage of costumes, props, sets, lights, tech equipment, and theater property pre-production and post-production. January 5, 2026, through April 2025. The weekly commitment is 7-10 hours.
