Shift Manager (Closing)

Join our team as a Shift Manager and help lead daily store operations while creating a great experience for both customers and employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high standards throughout the store.

As a Closing Shift Manager, you will serve as Manager on Duty and be responsible for directing the team, supporting customers, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring the store is ready for the next day.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support employees throughout the shift to ensure priorities are completed efficiently
• Delegate tasks, provide coaching, and hold team members accountable to expectations
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns while following company policies and procedures
• Maintain produce standards and complete end-of-night meat stocking responsibilities
• Monitor store conditions including recovery, cleanliness, and overall presentation
• Support front-end operations as needed while maintaining focus on leadership responsibilities
• Perform cash control functions including safe counts, till pickups, and deposit procedures
• Prioritize workload and make decisions to keep the shift running efficiently
• Ensure all closing procedures are completed accurately and the store is secured before leaving
• Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
• Retail, grocery, customer service, or fast-paced operational experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach employees and provide direction in real time
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and making decisions independently
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and operational standards consistently
• Strong accountability and attention to detail

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability to work closing shifts
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Flexible schedule preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, bend, reach, and use step stools safely
• Ability to remain active throughout the entire shift
