A private residential health club in Manhattan is seeking a full-time Certified Lifeguard to monitor and supervise the pool and Jacuzzi area. This is the afternoon/closing shift; candidates must be available to work 1:30pm - 9:30pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure a safe environment for patrons
- Enforce pool rules, regulations and club policies
- Respond to swimmers in distress
- Routine monitoring and recording temperature readings, chlorine levels, etc.
- Clean and maintain the aquatics facility
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The requirements for this position are:
- A valid lifeguard certification
- A valid CPR and first aid certification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Candidates must have a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, attentive, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
