What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Milsco LLC?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality control system and documents, which may include but are not limited to: procedures, audits, controls, corrective actions, and calibrations
- Maintain control of procedural documents; write new procedures; revise existing procedures; ensure procedural compliance
- Conduct internal audits, document findings and follow up on corrective action
- Perform root cause analysis for internal issues and customer complaints; make recommendations for solutions
- Maintain records of quality issues, corrective action and general quality statistics; report on quality performance to management
- Inspect components and material; insure compliance with blueprint requirements
- Work with external venders to ensure quality standards are met; work with Purchasing and suppliers on material quality issues
- Work with customers on PPAP submittals
- Build control plans for our process
- Support our lab testing and calibrations
- Issue RMAs for customer concerns/product returns
- Back up to Quality manager for all Quality functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Three (3) or more years experience a quality position; manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency with measuring tools: micrometers, calibers, comparator, gages, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
- Drive issues to closure
