This player-coach role blends personal sales excellence with strategic team leadership. You’ll drive your own quota while building and mentoring a high-performing sales team. You’ll also spearhead the integration of HLZAE and Surface Design capabilities with Milrose’s core services, positioning us as the go-to partner in NYC’s multi-family market.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-impact sales team across A&E and multi-family segments.
- Achieve personal sales targets while modeling consultative selling best practices.
- Drive team revenue growth through disciplined pipeline management and performance accountability.
- Integrate HLZAE and Surface Design offerings with Milrose’s services to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Craft and execute a multi-family market strategy targeting developers, REITs, building owners, boards, and property managers.
- Build and nurture relationships with top NYC property management firms and developers.
- Lead complex sales cycles and executive-level negotiations.
- Identify and prioritize regional expansion opportunities beyond NYC.
- Collaborate with Milrose’s NYC sales team to ensure seamless service delivery and cross-selling.
- Conduct weekly coaching sessions and implement structured forecasting and pipeline processes.
- Represent A&E and multi-family expertise in executive leadership and strategic planning forums.
Required:
- 10 years of sales experience in architectural, engineering, or construction professional services.
- 5 years of proven sales leadership, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success as a player-coach—balancing individual quota achievement with team leadership.
- Deep experience in both A&E and real estate development markets.
- Expertise in consultative selling to senior decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of NYC’s regulatory landscape and local laws.
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Formal education in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
- Experience aligning services post-acquisition or during integration.
- Established network within NYC’s architecture, development, and property management communities.
- Proven success expanding services into new geographic markets.
- Technical acumen to lead needs assessments and sell A&E-related services credibly.
- Location: New York, NY
- Schedule: Hybrid (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM)
- Travel: 30–40%, primarily within NYC metro area with occasional regional travel.
- Base salary: $180,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Commission on individual sales
- Team override on revenue achievement
