We’re looking for a Project Manager – Permit Expeditor to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the permitting process for client projects, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with local building codes. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and city officials to keep projects moving forward and deliver exceptional client service.
What You’ll Do
- Review and consolidate project documentation for accuracy before submission.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local jurisdictions.
- Coordinate plan reviews and address comments with architects and engineers.
- Track permit status and proactively resolve delays.
- Meet with city officials to clarify compliance requirements and advocate for client projects.
- Maintain organized records of all active projects and approvals.
- Expedite project approvals and resolve potential bottlenecks.
- Develop a strong understanding of project drawings to facilitate approvals.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform efficiently in high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in permitting, construction, or related field.
- Familiarity with building codes and zoning regulations.
- This position is based in Miami, FL, with a hybrid work schedule.
- Standard working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
- Travel requirements: Minimal, local travel only.
- Salary range: $18.00 – $25.00 / hour, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
