The Company
At Milpower, we design and manufacture RF high power amplifiers (HPAs) which are used by the US Navy and other military organizations for wireless communications in the HF/VHF/UHF frequency bands.
Key Qualifications
· Working knowledge of commercial test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, RF power meter, etc.
· Ability to work in a production environment where consistent on-site working hours and following ESD protocols is required.
· Ability to read and understand test procedures, schematics, data sheets, bill of materials, and quickly learn about special test equipment, test protocols, and debug procedures.
· Ability to troubleshoot problems to the circuit card and component level by using schematics, deductive reasoning, and test equipment.
· A good personality and attitude which allows you to work in productive collaboration with other team members, in all roles.
· Integrity and honesty.
Description
You will be initially perform production test on several different circuit cards. As part of this, you will follow procedures to operate many types of test equipment which may reside on a lab bench or a test rack. Later, you will use your experience and curiosity to troubleshoot problems to the component level, and then take appropriate actions to fix the problems. You will document failures and steps taken to fix the problems.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required: Electronics Trade School degree and at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant industry. Must be able to demonstrate reading comprehension, ability to follow test instructions and demonstrate troubleshooting skills during an on-site interview. Must be organized and pay attention to details.
Additional Beneficial Traits: Experience with High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), RF testing in HF/VHF/UHF bands, Digital and Power Supply testing, EMI/EMC testing, ESS testing (Temp, Vibe, Burn-In), Automated Test Equipment, and IPC soldering certified.
