Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Support children with their activities, including preschool, toddler care, infant care, and special education needs.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and behavioral management strategies to foster positive social interactions.
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform teaching strategies.
- Support with classroom management by encouraging good behavior and assisting with routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s experiences and developmental updates.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education best practices.
- Certifications or training in first aid and CPR are highly preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience.
