Job Summary
The Director of Adult Education and Workforce Development plans, organizes, develops, and supervises both fee-based and state/federally funded Adult Education Workforce Development courses. This leader oversees adult internship and apprenticeship programs, adult learning in programs such as ESL, high school equivalency, career skills and certifications, and correctional education programs within the Santa Clara County Department of Corrections. The Director is assigned a wide range of management and administrative responsibilities related to innovation in operations, planning, and the development of secondary adult learning programs at the MUSD Innovation Campus and Santa Clara County Correctional facilities, including district-level projects. The Director serves as the evening administrator for workforce development and traditional adult learning programs. The Director is responsible for developing strong partnerships with employers and workforce development organizations to advance high-quality career pathways.
