- Greet patients warmly at the front desk, manage multi-line phone systems, and schedule appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling software.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and facilitate billing processes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and review documentation for accuracy, including care plans, medical records, and billing information.
- Process medical claims for Medicare and private insurance providers using CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, ensuring proper documentation review for accuracy.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Assist Doctors with therapies, reviewing treatment notes, and managing clinic flow.
- Provide exceptional patient service through effective phone etiquette, clerical support, filing, and office management tasks to enhance overall clinic operations.
- Experience with medical billing including medical collection processes and insurance claims submission.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation review.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to health information management.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key per minute is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor at the front desk; experience with multi-line phone systems is essential.
