The Production Assistant plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our food production facility. Working alongside production staff, supervisors, and quality assurance teams, the Production Assistant supports the efficient, safe, and sanitary manufacturing of our premium gourmet food products. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, hardworking individual who takes pride in contributing to high-quality food production standards.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments (refrigerated and ambient areas)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including early mornings or evenings.
- Basic ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
Preferred
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing, food service, or production environment
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or food safety certification
- Experience operating basic production or packaging machinery
- Forklift or pallet jack certification (optional)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Production Assistants work on the production floor, which may include:
- Exposure to cold storage areas (32°F–40°F) and ambient production areas
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete flooring
- Use of production machinery, hand tools, and cleaning equipment
- Required use of PPE including hairnets, gloves, aprons, slip-resistant footwear, and ear protection
Compensation & Benefits
We are currently offering a temp-to-hire opportunity starting at $16 per hour. After successful completion of 480 hours, the rate may increase to $18.
