Millworks By Design is a specialty trade contractor focused on providing millwork and finish carpentry on high-end residential and select commercial projects. We are known in our market as top operators and excellent employers, having a large team of professional carpenters as well as project managers, engineers, estimators and other staff.
We are looking for an HR Manager who can assist with our continued growth and support our culture of treating every employee as a unique individual with candor and respect. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Fluently bi-lingual with Spanish and English. Reading, writing and ability to verbally translate complex conversations.
- Excellent communication skills and high relational intelligence.
- Ability to quickly connect with people in a very genuine and authentic way.
- Ability to bring a calm and problem-solving demeanor to chaotic situations.
- Deep knowledge of CA employment law and employer requirements.
- Proven experience with:
- Recruiting and onboarding
- Performance tracking and reviews
- Disciplinary actions and performance issues
- Safety programs
- Workers comp case management
- Terminations & resignations
- Employee benefits management
- Employment litigation case management
- Event management.
- Focus and Discipline – Ability to determine what needs to be done, when it should be done, and not get distracted with things that aren’t critical.
- Can Do Attitude – Even when things look difficult, press ahead and look for solutions.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and PDF markup and editing.
- Preferably have knowledgeable of the finish carpentry, cabinet making and millwork trade, but not required.

COMPENSATION:
1. Base salary of $100K to $120K
