Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and general construction tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely to support various phases of construction projects
- Install doors, cabinets, siding, flooring, tile, and other fixtures with precision and attention to detail
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, stucco application, and water damage restoration as needed
- Operate woodworking machines safely for fabrication and custom carpentry projects
- Support remodeling efforts by performing demolition, drywall installation (including plastering), painting, caulking, and finishing touches
Skills
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including residential framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and door hanging
- Proficiency in reading construction plans and schematics; interpreting technical drawings accurately
- Experience with hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools for woodworking and construction tasks
- Familiarity with woodworking machines and fabrication processes for custom projects
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to power tool use and construction site safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
- Experience in various construction trades such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, roofing, siding installation, and restoration industry practices
