Position Overview
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials and goods from the warehouse to job sites daily. In addition to transportation duties, the Driver will perform various tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods, materials, and equipment to and from the manufacturing facility, clients, vendors, and other designated locations.
- Ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups based on scheduled routes and customer needs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and other essential systems.
- Report any maintenance issues or vehicle malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, organized, and ready for use always.
- Adhere to all state and federal traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain a safe driving record and always demonstrate responsible driving behavior.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including schedules, mileage, fuel usage, delivery confirmation, and receipts.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for each trip and submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of products, materials, or equipment when necessary.
- Ensure that goods are properly secured in the vehicle to avoid damage during transport.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, ensuring timely arrival while avoiding delays due to traffic or road conditions.
- Communicate with the Shipping Coordinator regarding any delays, detours, or changes in the delivery schedule.
- Ensure that all safety equipment, including straps, cargo tie-downs, and other tools, are in good working condition.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and free of clutter to promote safe operation and a professional appearance.
- Comply with company GPS and dash camera monitoring policies
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle operation.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Ability to read maps, GPS systems, and plan optimal routes.
- Knowledge and understanding of Samsara
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

- On-Time Delivery Rate: Percentage of deliveries made on time, based on scheduled routes and customer needs.
- Delivery Accuracy and Documentation: Percentage of deliveries with accurate items and complete documentation (including delivery logs, fuel usage, receipts, etc.).
- Vehicle Maintenance: Percentage of required vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance completed on schedule.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a driver, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Experience operating trucks or other commercial vehicles.
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) may be required for specific vehicles or routes.
- Maintain at least a CDL class B driving license
- Forklift certified
- Driving for extended periods and working in a warehouse environment.
- Typical hours are Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed
- Ability to climb, bend, and maneuver around the vehicle when loading/unloading materials.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend and squat and reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 60 lbs. to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and drive to and from work locations.
- Must be able to travel as required for company business.
