Job Summary:
The Concrete Bid Coordinator is responsible for managing the bid process for concrete construction projects, from initial invitation to final submission. This role involves reviewing project documents, coordinating with estimators and subcontractors, preparing accurate bid packages, and ensuring deadlines are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in construction administration or estimating support.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and bid invitations for concrete scope work
- Coordinate with estimators to gather quantities, pricing, and subcontractor/vendor quotes
- Solicit and track bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and assemble complete bid proposals, including required documentation Ensure all bids are submitted accurately and on time
- Maintain bid logs and track project opportunities
- Communicate with general contractors, clients, and internal teams regarding bid requirements
- Assist in post-bid follow-up, clarifications, and contract preparation
- Organize and maintain digital and physical project files
- Stay up to date with industry standards, materials, and pricing trends
Requirements
- Preferred experience but not required in construction estimating, project coordination, or bid management within the heavy civil or concrete construction sectors.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contract review processes.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols gained through hands-on site experience.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
- Familiarity with construction documents (blueprints, specs, addenda)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating software is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
