Key Responsibilities
- Pharmacy Economic Modeling: Lead the development of sophisticated models to evaluate drug pricing strategies, including impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare Drug Negotiation Program, Most Favored Nations, and others.
- Advanced Risk Analytics: Lead teams to Model the impact to financial stakeholders in commercial and Medicare health plans of drug formulary/access strategies.
- Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for C-suite clients, translating complex pharmacy data into actionable business strategies and regulatory filings.
- Presentation Development: Develop presentations that outline complex models and insights for client projects.
- Credentials: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) in good standing.
- Experience: 8 years of health actuarial experience, with at least 4 years focused specifically on pharmacy benefits, drug pricing, or PBM economics.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Programming: Advanced SAS and/or SQL proficiency for querying large-scale medical and pharmacy claims datasets.
- Modeling: Experience building complex models from scratch rather than relying solely on "black box" software.
- Deep knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and its impact on Medicare Part D.
- Prior experience in a consulting environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to "sell" technical solutions to non-technical audiences.

- Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $169,510 - $279,680
- All other locations the range is $147,400 - $243,200
