Job Summary
The Milliken Summer Intern position gives rising university juniors or seniors an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. This position is located at the Duncan Stewart Plant in LaGrange, Ga. You will report directly to a manager – in either Process Improvement or Operations Management. The position is hourly paid. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The summer intern program begins in mid-May and ends the first week of August.

- Determine solutions using continuous improvement techniques
- Demonstrate creative thinking by identifying unique approaches to problem solving
- Communicate effectively one-to-one and one-to-a-group
- Work effectively with a diverse group of people to implement project improvements
- Rising junior or senior at a university
- Working towards a BS degree
- Able to participate in the Intern Leadership Forum in Spartanburg, SC
- Able to participate in the final presentation review in August in Spartanburg, SC
- Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial engineering major
- Efficient in PowerPoint and excel spreadsheets
- GPA – 3.0 minimum
- Able to start work in May 2026
