This is a full-time on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area or the Grand Rapids, MI Area for an Electrical Project Engineer. The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for building projects, including layout, power distribution, and electrical controls. Key tasks include preparing project documentation, conducting feasibility studies, analyzing power systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and supporting commissioning efforts. The engineer will also liaise with clients and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to project needs.
Strong expertise in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering
In-depth knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and components
Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards in electrical engineering
Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and energy modeling tools
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required
Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is strongly preferred
Experience in sustainable design and LEED-certified projects is a plus
