Job Summary: The Pool Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Millersville Lions Club swimming pool. They ensure the safety of patrons, enforce pool rules, and provide customer service. They will also perform pool cleaning and testing, water chemistry adjustments, and other duties as assigned. The Pool Manager is responsible for ensuring that all local, state, and federal regulations are followed, and must possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Represent the Millersville Lions Club in a Positive way
· Supervise lifeguards, pool members, pool parties, and other activities
· Responsible for Security at the Pool
· Supervise operation of filtration system, health requirements of chlorine and PH acidity levels in the water
· Direct cleaning of the pool and upkeep of all pool equipment and facilities, chairs, diving boards, showers, bathrooms, and pool office.
· Maintain correct payroll records and schedules
· Provide orientation and training for staff
· Enforce club rules and safety
· Be constructive in discipline, helpful in criticism, and enthusiastic in compliments
· Maintain and keep all records organized and secure
· Perform weekly deposits and keep totals for each event separate
· Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
The pool manager should have some experience in lifeguard and first aid and lifesaving courses. Working knowledge of pool design and will ensure the lifeguards perform proper maintenance of the pool. Must be able to plan, promote, and follow through with programs. Good communication and people skills are required. Candidates should have some experience in related positions.
