What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front End Office Manager position at Miller Yard Care and Construction?
The Opportunity: The Heartbeat of High-Performance
Miller Yard Care is a rapidly growing, local, family-owned and ran business serving the Detroit Lakes area. We are looking for a foundational team member to anchor our front office. This is not a receptionist job. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the client experience and the operational flow.
We Hire the Person, Not Just the Resume.
We are looking for High Caliber talent. Whether you are a seasoned industry veteran or a high-potential professional looking for your big break, we want to talk to you. If you have the ambition—and the organization skills—to run a dialed-in operation, we will provide the environment for you to succeed.
The Reality of This Role
We believe in transparency. This is a fun, supportive team, but the pace is fast and accuracy is non-negotiable.
- High Energy: This isn't a job where you watch the clock. You will be juggling phone calls, crew dispatching, and client needs all at once.
- Precision Matters: We move fast, but we cannot be sloppy. You must be able to maintain 100% accuracy with data and scheduling, even when things get busy.
- The "Calm in the Storm": When things get hectic, the team will look to you to be the steady, organized force that keeps us on track.
What You'll Do: Your Core Responsibilities
- The Keeper of the Details: You are the fail-safe. You take ownership of our CRM, data entry, and file management. You are the type of person who naturally double-checks their work because mistakes bother you.
- Director of First Impressions: You own the "Vibe." You ensure every client interaction is professional, warm, and solution-focused.
- The Hub of Operations: You assist with scheduling and dispatching, ensuring crews know exactly where to go and clients know exactly when to expect us.
- Gatekeeper & Protector: You protect the leadership team's focus by handling administrative hurdles and vendor calls, allowing leadership to focus on growth.
What We're Looking For (The Ideal Team Player)
- Fanatical Organization: This is the most critical trait. You love lists, systems, and order. If a "t" isn't crossed or a file is out of place, you notice it immediately.
- Humble, Hungry, Smart: You are self-motivated (Hungry), you have high emotional intelligence (Smart), and you are a team player with low ego (Humble).
- Cognitive Agility: You can switch tasks instantly without getting overwhelmed. You see chaos as a puzzle to be solved, not a burden.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) and able to master our scheduling software quickly.
- The "It" Factor: Maybe you have experience in HVAC, Construction, or Dispatching (a huge plus). OR, maybe you are simply an incredibly detailed, ambitious person who is ready to prove what they can do. If you have the drive and the organization, we can teach you the industry.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Top-Tier Pay: $52,000 - $70,000 per year (Commensurate with experience and performance). We reward results.
- Family Atmosphere: We are a local, family-owned business, not a faceless corporation. We value the person who sits in this seat as a vital part of our leadership core.
- Full-Time Benefits: Includes 401(k) matching, dental insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
