The Valve Technician is responsible for the assembly, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial valve and actuation packages. This position supports both shop and field service activities and plays a key role in ensuring customer equipment is assembled, maintained, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, calibrate, and document valve and actuator packages according to customer specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Read, interpret, and apply Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild valves, actuators, and related components in both shop and field environments.
- Perform inspections, functional testing, and quality checks to ensure equipment meets operational and performance requirements.
- Handle shipping, receiving, and inventory management of valve and actuation components.
- Collaborate with the Miller Valve sales team to support customer requirements, plan work orders, prioritize projects, and ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing, calibration results, and inventory transactions.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and testing equipment required for valve assembly and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable industry standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and at customer locations.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet customer expectations.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
