Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property while demonstrating excellent judgment and professionalism.
Requirements
- Valid Armed Security License/Card (must be in possession at the time of hire)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the property, preventing unauthorized entry.
- Record and maintain visitor logs, including names and reasons for visiting.
- Conduct routine patrols and guard tours throughout the assigned site.
- Maintain security coverage in designated areas of the property.
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or security concerns.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident, activity, and daily reports.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and security-related incidents.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and site management when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.
- Conflict de-escalation or conflict management training.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with report writing and incident documentation.
